Job Summary

The Cashier must process all cash transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving our customer satisfaction and revenue growth objectives.

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers, answering questions, making recommendations and providing exceptional customer service.
• Itemizes and totals purchases by recording prices, departments, taxable and nontaxable items, operating a cash register.
• Verifies credit acceptance by reviewing driver’s license, operating credit card authorization system.
• Check the IDs of every customer purchasing tobacco or alcohol products.
• Balances cash drawer by counting cash at the beginning and end of work shift.
• Provides pricing information by answering questions.
• Maintains checkout operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Assisting in other duties, as assigned.

Brief Description

The Assistant Manager position must observe and enforce all store rules and company policies and actively support the Store Manager. Is responsible for performing all the tasks of the Store Manager in his absence and contributing to the operation of the store. Should be able to handle customer complaints and make sure all store staff are courteous to customers. Daily operations can include customer service, sales, reporting, and inventory control. Deploy and review store policies and procedures.
